A new, compact two-story home on a steep lot in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles with a must-capture view of the Echo Park hills. The site was tricky to build on, requiring deep concrete piles for the foundation and a site-specific, engineered driveway bridge connecting the home to the street. The owners are creative people who sourced vintage and reclaimed materials and fixtures from the Pasadena flea market to incorporate into our modern design.
